Prime Minister appoints new Deputy Ministers

According to the decision signed on January 22 by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Mr. Truong Minh Tuan has become the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications from the signing day.

Previously, Tuan assumed the following positions: the chief of the Central PR and Information Committee the city of Da Nang; Director of the Information Center of the Central PR and Information Committee; and Deputy Head of the Central PR and Information Committee.

With this decision, Tuan, 54, is the 5th Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, besides Deputy Ministers Le Nam Thang, Tran Duc Lai, Nguyen Minh Hong and Nguyen Thanh Hung. The incumbent Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Bac Son, was previously Deputy Head of the Central PR and Information Committee.

Few days earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung appointed Mr. Cao Quoc Hung, 53, (Deputy Director General of the General Department of Energy) and Mr. Do Thang Hai, 51, (Director of the Trade Promotion Center) as Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade.

Currently, the leadership structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade includes Minister Vu Huy Hoang and seven Deputy Ministers – Mr. Le Duong Quang, Mr. Nguyen Cam Tu, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, Mrs. Ho Thi Kim Thoa, Mr. Do Thang Hai and Mr. Cao Quoc Hung.
