Loan to compete at Miss Universe 2017

Unicorp, which is responsible for selecting and nominating Vietnamese participants in Miss Universe, announced on October 18 that it has chosen Nguyen Thi Loan to represent Vietnam at this year’s pageant.

Duong Truong Thien Ly, a representative of Unicorp, said Loan entered the Top 5 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 pageant. 

In the two years since, she has always been aware of developing her image, taking part in social activities and making outstanding achievements in the field of culture and art.

Currently, Nguyen Thi Loan possesses the sufficient skills, experience and willingness to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2017 pageant, Ly said.

Nguyen Thi Loan has received the invitation letter from the organizing board of Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

Unicorp has applied for permission from the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to allow Nguyen Thi Loan to compete at Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

Loan, 27, is 1.76 meters tall and measures 90-63-95. She is a professional volleyball player.

The Miss Universe 2017 pageant will begin on November 10 in Las Vegas, US. The grand finale will take place on November 26, attracting nearly 90 contestants from around the world.
